Job Description

We are seeking a highly technical and motivated Data Engineer to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, architecting, and optimizing data pipelines, proficient in Python, SQL and experienced with AWS cloud services including S3, Glue, Athena, and Lambda. They should be skilled in data wrangling, data exploration, and developing robust ETL processes. The candidate should also possess strong scripting and automation skills, along with expertise in version control with Git. We value individuals who proactively embrace emerging technologies to streamline workloads and enhance operational efficiency. This team is working on the clients largest marketing analytics platform and will be helping to manage and maintain pipelines between data sources. They are working on modernizing their data.

• Design, develop, and optimize data processing pipelines and workflows.

• Implement and manage data solutions using AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda).

• Perform data wrangling and exploration to support business needs.

• Develop and maintain robust ETL processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.

• Provide production support, identify and automate areas of improvement.

Pay rate: 40/hr-55/hr depending on experience

Skills and Requirements

- 1+ year of Data Engineering experience for Jr, 3+ years of experience for Mid (will take more years if they fit bill rate)

- strong background in designing, architecting, and optimizing data pipelines

- Proficient in Python

- Proficient in SQL

- Experience with AWS cloud services -- specifically Glue

- Experience in data wrangling, data exploration, and developing ETL processes

- scripting and automation skills - Exposure to Snowflake, MS SQL Server.

- Understanding of machine learning. Knowledge of statistical analysis methods. null
