CITY OF COLUMBIA Firefighter I-1055 in Columbia, Missouri
The City of Columbia is seeking a Firefighter I - 1055 to provide emergency services, including fire suppression, medical care, and mitigation to emergency and non-emergency events. Educates citizens on fire prevention practices. Maintains fire stations, apparatus, and equipment; operates apparatus and equipment in emergency environments. Less than 1 year experience in fire service, medical-related, or related field.

**A 200 or more word statement describing why you want to be in the Fire Service and what preparations you have made toward a career in firefighting/public safety, is required.
**If you are currently a licensed EMT or a State of Missouri-certified Firefighter I/Firefighter II please attach a copy of your certification. (Not required to be hired).
**You must be 21 years old by Monday, July 15, 2024, to be considered for this position.
**Anticipated panel interviews: July 29-August 2, 2024
**Anticipated physical agility testing: August 3-4, 2024
