Description
The Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for one fullātime, Academic Profession Track (Non-Tenure) position with a 9-month appointment beginning Fall 2024. The breakdown of effort for this position is 80% teaching and 20% service or research. Applicants will be considered for the faculty title of Instructional Assistant Professor.
The successful candidate is expected to teach three (3) courses per semester in Agricultural Systems Management, with primary needs in applications of electricity, and electronics and controls as applied to agricultural systems. Expertise and interest in teaching in other areas of agricultural systems management courses, especially in environmental and natural resources is a plus. In addition, the candidate is expected to participate in student mentoring, advise student clubs, assist in recruiting, and engage in other on-and off-campus professional activities.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess either a Ph.D. in Agricultural Systems Management, Biological and Agricultural Engineering or a related field, or a Master level degree appropraite for the field in which the faculty member will teach and significant teaching experience at the College/School level in the field or in a related field.
Some college teaching experience including experience in developing and implementing curricula, and knowledge and experience in project or process management are preferred.
