Vontier Deputy General Manager - Planning and VBS in Coimbatore, India

Purpose of Position:

The purpose of the position is to provide strategic guidance on improving the planning & schedule adherence for all materials inflows / FG dispatches on a timely manner. In addition, this role shall be responsible for driving VBS across GVR India operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Responsible for overall material planning activities across the business

2.Design and execute processes and procedures for improving operational performance.

3.Review and improve operational and financial performance (Inventory reduction, Material turns improvement, etc.)

4.Set departmental objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance.

5.Responsible for developing the appropriate organizational structure, resource plans and culture to support the business objectives and customer deliverables. Provide leadership, coordination and coaching to the team, ensuring they are trained enabling them to achieve the operational and financial metrics within their areas of responsibility and succeed in their roles.

6.Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work collaboratively to ensure MP&L objectives are being met. Communicate any concerns and recommend solutions without compromising quality or service and aim for cost optimization.

7.Knowledge and expertise in business excellence roles is a prerequisite. Will be responsible for drive internal business system (VBS) across the organization.

8.Key KPIs would include (OTD, S&O0(Sales and Operating Procedure), Inventory Management, E&O, etc.)

Skills Sets Requirement

1.Proven leadership skills with the ability of handling the team under dynamic situations.

2.Relationship management with key stakeholders (Suppliers, Internal customers, etc.)

3.Good analytical knowledge and exposure in handling commercial, financial requirements for the function

4.Agile mindset with proven track record of handling multiple consignment / requirements depending on the business volatility.

5.People management skills (Ability of coaching, mentoring and developing a task-oriented team).

6.Strong domain knowledge (Dynamic Kanban, Racking systems, Inventory management, Etc.)

7.Knowledge on production systems (Manufacturing) would be an added advantage.

•Education & Experience:

Total Experience in years: 18 - 20 years’ experience

Graduation/ Degree: B.E Mechanical

Post-Graduation/ PGDM: MBA / PGDM Financial Management

Mandatory Certifications Required:

Background and Skills:

1, 18 Plus years of hands-on experience in material planning activities and should have been the functional leader for a minimum of 4 Years

2, Knowledge on financial aspects (P&L, OH, etc.) would be added advantage

3, Exposure in handling large scale employee size and revenue base of 1000 Crores.

4, Knowledge on lean principles, business operating systems (Like VBS) is a prerequisite

5, Should have exposure in leadership roles for a minimum of 8 Years within the overall experience

6, Exposure in working on new technology concepts (Industry 4.0, etc.)

7, Ability to lead a set of senior professionals and guide them in their career progression

8, Good communication skills, interfacing at all levels of the organization

9, Ability & willingness to work in a matrix organization with direct & indirect reporting relationships

10, Ability & willingness to achieve excellent results with minimal supervision.
