Cleveland-Cliffs Steel, LLC Lead Process Control Engineer in Coatesville, Pennsylvania

Reference #: R9444 Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opportunity for a Lead Process Control Engineer at our Coatesville facility. The Lead Process Control Engineer will direct and guide a small team of Level 1 and Level 2 engineers to address ongoing projects that will produce and deliver quality products to our customers in a timely fashion.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Lead the process automation group for a functional unit being the main point of contact for all operational needs Programming and engineering for new Process Control systems Design, programming, documentation, and support for the existing Level 1 and 2 systems Implementation of Process Control system improvements Troubleshoot, identify, and manage activities necessary to maintain equipment and production standards Assist in training plant electrical technicians in troubleshooting to support Process Control equipment Responsible for addressing issues that may impact production or system reliability Implement system upgrades Work with vendors on products and performance issues Identify and manage activities necessary to maintain equipment Maintain an active housekeeping program to ensure a safe, clean, and productive facility Communicate with outside departments within the plant and in other Cleveland-Cliffs facilities to ensure a continuous operational flow Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Mechanical/Electrical/Computing Engineering, from a four-year college or university is required 5 Years of technical, on-the-job experience working with Level 1 or Level 2 Automation Systems (according to the Purdue Model of Systems) 2 years of Leadership experience leading a technical team Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization Manufacturing industry experience with knowledge of OSHA safety requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Manufacturing industry experience with knowledge of OSHA safety requirements 10 Years of technical, on-the-job experience working with Level 1 or Level 2 Automation Systems (according to the Purdue Model of Systems) If Level 1, significant experience with Modicon, Allen Bradley, Siemens, and other Level 1 Control Systems If Level 2, significant experience with OpenVMS, windows .net development, Java development, and SQ server 5 Years of leadership experience leading a technical team
