OhioMeansJobs-Cleveland Cuyahoga County is sourcing for a Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing company in the Cleveland area. * *Job Description: 1. Performs Mechanical & Electrical/electronic repairs on all processing equipment to ensure that organization can meet commitments to its customers in a timely manner. 2. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment. 3. Performs daily maintenance activities to help meet production requirements. 4. Keeps daily repair records of all significant machine and facility events on the Maintenance Event Log form. Estimates time spent on each repair. 5. Creates and supports a safe work environment for all employees. Inform the General /Production/Maintenance Manager of any known safety hazards. Locks out any unsafe machinery. 6. Keeps the Production/Maintenance & General Manager informed of machine and facility repairs that may impact operations. 7. Assists with repair projects to upgrade or replace equipment. 8. Works closely with the Maintenance & General Manager on completing repairs on the maintenance task list. 9. Protects all company confidential and proprietary production processing information from customers, customer prospects and outsiders.
Coordination & Collaboration
- Keeps General Manager, Production Manager & Office Manager informed of all maintenance-related issues that may impact production scheduling and related activities. Whenever possible equipment downtime should be scheduled to maximize production.
Cross Function-Interfacing with Peers 1. Work closely with the Maintenance Manager on daily job completions and customer shipments. 2. Work closely with the Maintenance Manager on acquiring requested parts and outside resources.
Quality of Repair Work Performed 1. All repairs must be performed in a safe effective manner and conform to OSHA requirements. 2. No equipment should be put back into service when it cannot operate as designed in a safe manner producing quality product. 3. All electrical boxes must be closed during normal machine operation. Machine operators must never be permitted in live electrical enclosures.
Qualifications and Requirements: 1. Extensive industrial machine maintenance mechanical & electrical repair skills. 2. High School Diploma or GED. 3. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language. 4. Basic math skills. 5. Good interpersonal communication skills. 6. Detail oriented. 7. Must be able to stand and/or sit for 8 or more hours per day.
Salary and hours: Monday-Friday 8am -5pm Minimum hours per week 40 max 60. Benefits include paid holidays. Salary ranges from $20 per hour up to $30 per hour.
