The primary role of the IS Telephony Specialist is to apply IT knowledge and expertise to manage and support complex Enterprise telephony solutions. The Specialist is a key resource, a definitive source of knowledge about telephony services and solutions, who contributes their expertise to enhance the service offering. This is a position with global grade 12 This position reports to NAM Telephony Service Owner Your responsibilities Proactively supports the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of all components of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and Cisco Unity Connection (CUC), Cisco voice gateways both SIP and MGCP Identifies and resolves issues related to T1 PRI, and SIP trunking. Experience with telephony disaster recovery plans, SRST, backup, system redundancy Identifies and reports any inefficiencies or improvement opportunities and implement changes to telephony systems as required. Familiar with change management process Supports and configures analog devices, paging, intercom and fax services Experience with Real Time Monitors (RTMT) to diagnose and troubleshoot Voice issues Experience with core voice services: route patterns, CTI, translation patters, hunt groups, Route groups, mobility, jabber services Hand-on experience with the Cisco CUCM/CUC Command Line Interface CLI Identifies and diagnoses problems and factors affecting voice services, engaging TAC when needed. Investigates and coordinates the resolution of potential and actual service problems Performs preventative maintenance services on the telephony infrastructure including voice gateways Prepares and maintains operational documentation for the telephony services and advises on the correct and effective use of the services Experience with Teams Admin Center voice configuration and managing user migration to Microsoft Teams Calling Cisco UCCX contact center administration, management and maintenance CDR, Attendant Console, Contact Center CTI, UCCX live Dashboard management Your background Bachelor degree or technical degree in computer science or related field 5 plus years of experience with Cisco telephony operation and management 2 plus years experience with Teams voice Telephony Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience in managing enterprise deployments across different countries Work effectively both as a contributing team member and independently Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US Benefits Retirement plan Life insurance Disability insurance Healthcare plan Wellbeing program More about us ABB's Distribution Solutions Division provides utility, industrial and commercial customers with safe, smart and sustainable technologies for the distribution of electricity.
