  Day in the Life

  R&B Bulk Lab Analytical Chemist , coordinates, and performs all analytical and physicochemical testing on batches made by Pilot Plant (Stability and Behavior Study)

  They organize and maintain Lab functions to ensure consistent smooth operations.

  They act as an interface between RAD Labs and CIQ Pilot

  Requirements

• BS Degree in Chemistry or related Science

• 2-5 years' experience with HPLC or equivalent utilizing problem solving approaches.

• Conscientious, positive in attitude, self-motivated, reliable, and responsible.

• Good laboratory skills with demonstrated record of excellence in quantitative analysis.

• Ability to make decisions independently and assess when escalation is appropriate.

• Detail-oriented with a demonstrated proactive and analytical approach to problem solving.

  Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely testing of all pilot batches and sample distribution to formulator for approval.

• Perform testing on bulk according to R&I specifications and L’Oreal/ DGO methods

• Enters all results using lab software (RAMA) and SLIMS

• Manages HPLC method transfer of USTM methods with R&I, Plants and CM’s

• Maintain accurate records, reports and spreadsheets and communicate to the manager any issues.

• Maintains the laboratory by:

• Understanding and thoroughly performing test methods specified by R&I and DGO

• Ensuring all lab instruments are calibrated prior to use

• Performing test following all laboratory and safety regulations and procedures

• Ordering supplies/reagents needed in order to perform the necessary tests.

• Adhere to L’Oréal’s CIQ procedures in area of responsibility

• Maintain accurate records, reports and spreadsheets and communicate to the manager any issues

• Salary Range: $Minimum– $Midpoint (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.)
