TriMas Corporation Installation Tooling Assembler in City of Industry, California

JOB SUMMARY:

Assembles, tests, and packages installation tooling per job or sales order requirement. Maintains required installation tooling component inventory levels.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:

Reads and interprets documents (blue prints, drawing, or manufacturing work orders), to ascertain what components and materials are necessary to assemble installation tooling.

Assembles installation tooling.

Inspects components prior to assembly visually and by using measuring devices, such as, calipers and various other inspection gauges.

Conducts performance tests on assembled installation tooling to ensure product is within customer and/or company specification requirements.

Packages assembled tooling for shipment to customer, as needed.

Sets up and operates drill press for the manufacture of ancillary installation tooling components. Makes all adjustments necessary to produce parts of acceptable quality.

Maintains and monitors installation tooling component inventory. Initiates work orders for components as required to ensure inventory levels are at specified requirements.

Performs cycle counting.

Meets and maintains all productivity levels and quality requirements to support departmental goals and schedules.

Performs record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follows safety regulations.

Responsible for the setup and operation of the Mikron LX-24 machining system for the purpose of production of the NAS1900 aluminum product.

Mikron Technician will perform all machine adjustments and tooling changes required to properly setup the machine for production of the Aluminum NAS1900 product.

Mikron Technician will perform maintenance of the Mikron LX-24 including daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance.

Mikron Technician is also responsible for the filtration system cleaning and filtration unit replacements and daily cleaning of surrounding area to maintain a clean working environment.

Additionally, the technician is responsible for fully understanding the product function and performance in order to diagnose functional issues during setup and run operations.

Product knowledge development is critical to this position. This requires extensive product knowledge learning with Engineering to establish skills for troubleshooting product function.

Complete and thorough product testing is required from the technician during setup and run operation that includes extensive use of installation tools and installation coupon preparation.

Mikron Technician will work to Quality System Procedures for operating procedures and instructions for machine operations and quality conformance measurements and testing as well as specific product drawings.

The pay scale for this position ranges from $18.00-$29.86 an hour
