Details: A Structural Analysis Engineer job with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available in Lexington KY or via remote support. This job is a full-time direct position or contract. To be considered for this role, you will need Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, and experience in structural analysis of marine vessel design. Job Duties: *Perform structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as calculations in support of marine vessel design *Perform plan, model, and results reviews, internally and with the customer *Ensure that calculations and models are systematically checked and validated *Perform analysis, evaluate results, and prepare formal reports of the findings *Liaison with other teams as required and interact with OEM customers *Maintain strong communication with internal project team and customer *Manage your own project work *Oversee a small team of junior engineers to achieve project success Required: *Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent *Ten or more years of experience performing structural analysis on marine design and possess strong technical ability *Solid understanding of structural load paths and failure modes *Finite element analysis capabilities using Femap/Nastran (FEA) *Understanding of Maritime Regulatory Authorities *Ability to work independently, while adhering to strict timelines *Mentoring or leadership experience *Experience taking control of a task from start to finish *Must have good interpersonal skills and willing to work in a team environment *Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills *Must have excellent computer skills *Legal authorization to work in the US required *Travel to customer and work site locations as required Preferred: *VBA or similar programming skill set *AutoCAD experience Compensation: We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $95,000 to $125,000.
