Job Overview The International Services Office is seeking a Program Coordinator. The position will report directly to the Assistant Director to provide social, cultural, and educational programming that serves and connects international students and scholar populations with the UC and Cincinnati community, to help them accommodate and navigate academic and cultural challenges. One of the main focuses on the position will be to coordinate and expand our student peer mentoring group, International Partners and Leaders (IPALS), to foster successful transition to the American university environment for all international students using available campus services and resources that meet the students' needs. This also includes developing social media content plans that are consistent with IPAL's brand identity. Responsibilities will also include providing support and guidance to students on academic, cultural, and personal matters and will require the knowledge of processes for crisis and mental health situations to be able to refer international students to the university office that can assist them. The position will be required to keep records of student contact time, prepare related reports, and also manage budgets. The Program Coordinator will be required to work sponsored events in the evenings, weekends, and overnight as required. The person in the position will need to be physically able to transport basic supplies and materials to and from sponsored events. The person in this position will need to attend meetings and related functions and some travel will also be required.The Program Coordinator will also need to be familiar with social media platforms and be responsible for communicating with social media followers, including responding to queries in a timely manner. The position also requires establishing and maintaining partnerships by identifying current and potential student organizations, campus, and community groups to collaborate with on programs and initiatives. Duties include the need to further develop and nurture relationships through regular communication, meetings, and networking events. This position will have the option of a hybrid work schedule (2 days in the office/3 days work from home) for those with a residence within OH/IN/KY following 90 days of training. Residence must be in the tri-state area within reasonable distance to UC Main Campus to have ability to report to campus as required.
