For more information, please visit our website atwww.sunchemical.comor connect with us onLinkedInorTwitter Position: Lab Tech II - Analytical R&D Work Location: Cincinnati, Ohio Work Schedule/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5 pm This role performs chemical and physical analysis following approved methodology and conducts experiments on organic and inorganic substances (such as pigment, inks, additives, solvents, and raw materials) to assureboth product suitability and applicability. Accurately and safely performs and documents all experiments and results with minimal supervision.Operates and performs minor maintenance on lab equipment used in testing.Performs procedures and documentation required by the Quality Management System. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Setup and operationof analytical instruments such as GC, HPLC, UV-Vis, FTIR, and ICPISO calibration of equipment. Compliance with site regulations, including adherence tosafety guidelines, chemical hygiene, and ISO guidelines. Quality control analysis. Maintain a safe and compliant lab environment. Order lab supplies and manage inventory. COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: Knowledge and experience in chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques (HPLC, GC, ICP, UV-Vis, FTIR), titrations, pH, and conductivity measurements. Collaborate effectively with team members from different disciplines (e.g., research chemists, engineers) to ensure successful project completion. Prioritize competing tasks effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in computer skills, especially in MS Excel and Word. Mathematical skills, including regression analysis and experience with analytical data analysis systems (GC, HPLC) are preferred. Well organized, self-motivated, flexible, and have good communication skills (verbal and written) EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associate degree in chemistry preferred, others considered based on aptitude. 1-2 years experience in the Analytical Chemistry field. Strong safety and ethics awareness.
