POSITION SUMMARY Reporting directly to the Director of Information Technology, the IT Desktop Support Specialist has overall responsibility for supporting Cremer's network, server infrastructure, desktop support and cyber security program. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education, Credentials, Licenses: B.A. or B.S in MIS and/or Computer Science or equivalent combination of experience and education. Kind & Length of Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in IT support, network administration, and system maintenance. Multi-Regional experience, providing support for users and systems in multiple countries and languages is a preferred. Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, Meraki, Cisco, M365, Entra ID, Azure, and Email Security are highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and manage multiple teams and projects. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are a plus. Technical proficiency in Cisco networking administration servers, firewall, and security products is preferred Cybersecurity expertise is preferred Ability to support all IT assets is preferred (Laptop, workstations, conference room, video, telecom) Experience managing direct reports is preferred Experience with Microsoft on premise and cloud solutions is preferred (Azure or CRM) Experience being on-call for a company is preferred Require minimal travel, 10-15% travel to other Cremer locations in LATAM. PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS Maintain and monitor network infrastructure, servers, and systems. Ensure optimal performance, security, compliance, and reliability for all Cremer locations. Ensuring team resources are allocated appropriately to support Cremer international manufacturing operations (247). Develop training plans for team members. Coordinate with external vendors for hardware and software procurement, maintenance, and support as needed. Manage and optimize expenses. Responsible for resolving and reporting on IT requests from users. Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes, procedures, and system configurations. Work closely with Cremer North America (CNA) along with cross-functional teams to address IT-related challenges and improve overall efficiency. Manage, communicate, and audit changes in personnel policies and procedures to ensure proper compliance is followed. Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of servers, virtualization environment, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments. Ability to respond to emergency alerts to support 247 manufacturing plant. Responsible for Cremer's cyber security program including vendor selection, configuration, training and monitoring. Lead desktop and helpdesk support team, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions. Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
