LICENSE & CERTIFICATION: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio BLS ACLS if applicable Certification in specialty area strongly preferred Certification in AWOHNN a plus, NRP YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Minimum Required: 3 - 5 Years equivalent experience OF CLINICAL NURSING EXPEREINCE IN labor & Delivery/ OB High Risk/ NICU/ Perinatal Support Services. REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Demonstrated progressive responsibilities in management Demonstrated evidence of successful management Demonstrated experience in budgeting for operations and Personnel management Demonstrated evidence of continuing growth and leadershipThe L&D/OB High Risk/NICU/ Perinatal Support Services Director will report to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer with responsibility for Womens Health Services. The The L&D/OB High Risk/NICU/ Perinatal Support Services Director will facilitate partnering with members of the multidisciplinary team and will actively engage department of the hospital and the UC Health to provide the necessary infrastructure for quality patient care services. The L&D/OB High Risk/NICU/ Perinatal Support Services Director actively participates in identifying regional benchmarks, evidenced based clinical protocols, and developing outreach programs reflective of the organization strategic initiatives. The L&D/OB High Risk/NICU/ Perinatal Support Services Director will participate in establishing cost, satisfaction quality, and market share targets. The L&D/OB High Risk/NICU/ Perinatal Support Services Director will develop strategies to meet the targets and goals outlines by the organization. The L&D/OB High Risk/NICU/ Perinatal Support Services Director will develop collaborative relationships with UC Health Physicians and Surgeons University of Cincinnati facility and the UC Health Administrative team. Responsivities of this position include, but not limited to departmental planning, marketing labor management, budget management, development of professional nursing practice, assurance of quality patient care and service excellence for assigned areas of responsibility. The Nursing Director coordinates and directs the patient care and management activities in the Patient Care Services Division within the guidelines of the Joint Commission and State regulations. The Director is responsible for achieving and maintaining competent services with goals consistent with those of UC Health and Patient Care Services. He or she is accountable for the clinical practice of nursing.
