Starbucks Senior Manager Sustainability and Social Impact in Chiswick, United Kingdom

As a Senior Manager Sustainability and Social Impact, you are a strong communicator and able to influence senior stakeholders through thought leadership. Your remit would be to drive sustainability initiatives and social impact strategies within Starbucks EMEA. The purpose of this role is to secure Starbucks' brand position as a leader in sustainability within the coffee shop industry.

You won't be solely focused soley on sustainability reporting and analytics in this role. Instead, you'll be given the chance to be a subject matter expert within your role and influence the sustainability strategy across the region.

To excel in this role, you'll need to be motivated by driving sustainability initiatives and social impact strategies. Working with a team of experts, you'll be responsible for defining, recommending, and tracking KPIs for key strategic sustainability initiatives. This role requires an individual who is a strong communicator and able to influence senior stakeholders through having exceptional technical knowledge and the ability to work cross functionally.

In this role, you'll be leading the way in sustainability and social impact efforts within Starbucks EMEA. You will be instrumental in defining, recommending, and tracking KPIs for key strategic sustainability initiatives. Courage and leadership will be important qualities for this role as you work towards securing Starbucks' brand position as a leader in sustainability.

The Key Requirements...

  • Significant and wide-ranging sustainability leadership experience, including the conduct of double materiality assessments, carbon audits across scopes 1-3, waste and water, ethical supply chains, and packaging innovation

  • Significant experience managing multiple workstreams and stakeholders in service of ambitious shared goals, with a demonstrable understanding of how to drive and support cultural change in a large, multilateral matrix organisation

  • Stakeholder management and ability to partner with a variety of business functions

  • Strong analytical skills to set KPIs, identify data trends, draw lessons learned, report accurately and make recommendations grounded in facts and insights
