Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Chillicothe, OH

Type: Direct Hire, Permanent

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

Role Summary

Supervise and plan maintenance activities for skilled craftspeople in the maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment. Collaborate with production and other supervisors to ensure effective and timely completion of maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance jobs and crews, requisition parts, maintain work specifications, and schedule tasks.

• Oversee maintenance activities during planned shutdowns, including attending planning meetings, creating Gantt charts, and coordinating with outside contractors.

• Ensure adherence to predictive and preventative maintenance schedules, manage day-to-day electrical troubleshooting, issue resolution, and improvement activities.

• Facilitate communication between maintenance teams and other mill operations teams.

• Prioritize and manage work backlog using SAP Maintenance; report on backlog, planned work, and cost performance.

• Collaborate with Purchasing on repairs, rebuilds, and procurement of equipment and parts.

• Administer the contract labor agreement with the local union, execute the bid process for outsourced work, and follow contractual procedures.

• Maintain daily time records for the hourly workforce.

• Promote a safe working environment through training, monitoring, and continuous coaching and mentoring of the Electrical/Instrumentation crew.

  Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent desired; BS in Electrical Engineering preferred.

• Five years of electrical/instrumentation experience in an industrial environment.

• Ability to meet deadlines, manage variable workloads, and be on call as required.

• Proficiency in working both independently and as part of a team.

• Experience with SAP Maintenance is desired; Microsoft Project experience is a plus.
