Job Summary

The Senior Associate Director, Reunion and Class Giving at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business is responsible for planning and implementing a variety of programs dedicated to raising dollars and donors through the Annual Fund with special emphasis on reunion and class-based fundraising. This individual manages a team that recruits, trains, and oversees class-based volunteer fundraising committees - identifying and soliciting alumni reunion prospects and coordinating and collaborating on volunteer fundraising strategies within the Chicago Booth Office of Advancement. They will also conduct individual giving work, both focusing on leadership giving and major gift levels ranging from \$2,500 to \$100,000 or more.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, recruits, trains, and manages fundraising volunteers; acts as liaison for Gift Chairs and Reunion committees.
  • Works with Gift Chairs to produce solicitation letters.
  • Works with Gift Chairs to identify and solicit prospects in each class as well as achieve 100% participation on each reunion committee.
  • Ensures that monthly giving reports are prepared for Gift Chairs.
  • Supports each new reunion class in meeting reunion giving goals.
  • Maintains consistent and clear communication with Gift Chairs and fundraising volunteers.
  • Works with each Gift Chair to recruit additional fundraising volunteers.
  • Stewards individual class campaigns and coordinates with Events team to plan and execute class-specific gatherings.
  • Produces and submits timely call reports on all visits and/or pertinent phone calls.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with Alumni Engagement and Advancement teams on volunteer communications, events, and programming.
  • Visits, qualifies, and solicits individual prospects for leadership gifts of \$2,500 or more.
  • Develops and conducts major gift solicitations individually, or in partnership with the Individual Giving team.
  • Hires, trains, and manages additional staff members who will be respon ible for similar volunteer fundraising-based class gift and reunion campaigns.
  • Collaborates with Annual Fund direct appeals staff to develop and produce direct mail, telefund, and email initiatives to promote Reunion and Class-based fundraising.
  • Partners with Individual Giving team on cultivation and solicitation of major gift and principal gift prospects.
  • Partners with Deans\' offices, MBA program offices, Career Services, Leadership Development Office, and faculty centers to develop mutually beneficial student and alumni fundraising programs.
  • Attends University events as a representative of Chicago Booth.
  • Provides expertise to the development of plans to solicit prospective donors and meet campaign goals. This includes speaking to new prospects persuasively about the case for annual giving support.
  • Ensures quality control when monitoring various marketing channels by developing a targeted strategy for solicitation and marketing materials as well as campaign appeals, solving a range of complex problems as they arise.
  • Performs other related work as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
