Job overview and responsibilities

Within United Airlines' Airframe Heavy Maintenance division, the Contract Strategy team plays a pivotal role in securing efficient MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) services and cultivating partnerships with third-party providers. We aim to minimize waste, costs, and risks while enhancing service quality, technology, and overall operational efficiency.

As a Contract Strategy Senior Analyst, you will support internal partners by leading key initiatives such as contract reviews, strategic sourcing events, process improvements, and enhancements to systems and tools. Your primary goal will be to reduce the total cost of ownership and enhance operational efficiencies through cohesive third-party risk management strategies.

Responsibilities include procuring various commodities, conducting external supply market analyses, evaluating internal demand, and performing detailed financial modeling for short- and long-term strategies. The Senior Analyst will develop clear, data-driven leadership presentations that provide strategic insights and recommendations. Drive innovation in enterprise-wide supplier management tools, improve accuracy in spend forecasts, and generate tailored reports to support supplier diversity analytics and senior leadership decision-making. Developing specialized knowledge in spending categories and collaborating closely with category managers to optimize savings are also critical aspects of this role.

Building strong relationships with internal teams and external partners is essential. Respond to ad-hoc analytics requests from Global Procurement leadership to support ongoing critical initiatives.
