The team you will be a part of

The Digital Marketing team develops marketing, merchandising and creative strategies and affiliated programs to promote the organization's products and services through the Internet or other digital channels to increase exposure to and business from the target audience and analyzes their effectiveness. Develops and maintains website graphic designs and layout to support the organization's image, identity and brands. May be responsible for social media marketing and online community management.

Whirlpool Corporation is seeking a Retail Media Manager for its in-house, award-winning creative agency and studio, WoW Studios. Our growing team of passionate and collaborative humans is focused on best-in-class advertising, storytelling, and consumer experience for all of Whirlpool’s brands including KitchenAid, Whirlpool, JennAir, Maytag, and Amana. We’re committed to increasing and elevating Whirlpool’s output of campaigns, content, design, experiences, and digital innovation across all consumer touchpoints (in-store, film, social, digital, experiential, etc).

WoW Studios (https://www.worldofwhirlpool.com/) is located in the historic Reid Murdoch Building at the edge of Chicago’s Riverwalk and at Whirlpool’s Global Headquarters in Benton Harbor, MI.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading strategy, planning and execution of media across all retail channel partners. Their goal will be to drive consideration and conversion, as well as brand visibility through full funnel planning in retail media channels. This role will directly influence how our brands are perceived by retail audiences and how successfully they compete at the point of purchase.

Employees in this role work a hybrid schedule in Chicago of four core days in office with Friday remote.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Lead paid retail media strategy and execution in accordance with key marketing objectives, campaigns, and across the consumer journey

  • Provide direction to Retail media partners on media activation - delivering media brief (budget, priorities, timing, objectives, KPI’s)

  • Collaborates with Retail Activation Team to deliver against product priorities around key timeframes

  • In collaboration with Retail media partners, develops comprehensive media plans that align with each brand’s marketing strategy and business objectives

  • Has a deeper understanding of retailer audience insights in order to impact strategic recommendations

  • Elevates Brand visibility and preference within retailer channels - online and offline

  • Set and track channel specific goals and KPI’s, optimizing campaign performance and budget allocation to deliver strong return on investment

  • On-site Search (retail) - maintain and monitor keyword bids, audience targeting, account daily and monthly budget caps, impression share, quality score and other account metrics.

  • Oversee the media budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and maximizing ROMI

  • Leads campaign performance reports, ensuring tags are tracking, revenue tracking. Provides regular reports on key metrics (bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual. Use insights from performance data to refine and improve media strategies)

  • Build and maintaining day to day relationship with Retail media partners

  • Keeps a pulse on culture and trends that could drive relevance for our brands in these growing spaces

Minimum requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 6-7 years in Media experience

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Demonstrated cross-team collaboration

  • Experience managing external media or platform partners

  • Solutions-oriented and resilient; approaches challenges and roadblocks with ideas

  • Technical problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent management skills to direct internal staff, outside vendors, and partners

  • Budget management and negotiation skills

  • Mediation to arrive at the best solution for all involved
