Job Summary

The Department of Medicine, Section of Cardiology is looking for a Research Assistant to work on Cardiac electrophysiology research, specifically with processing and analysis of electrophysiological data acquired as part of the Arora lab\'s experiments. The candidate will help with signal processing and with writing of code in programs such as Matlab to help with analysis of electrophysiological data. The candidate with also work close with the Senior Project Manager to help with creation and maintenance of a database for the laboratory.

Responsibilities

  • Processing and analysis of electrophysiological data; this will include programming in Matlab to develop tools for the analysis of electrical signals from large animal models of atrial fibrillation.
  • This job provides technical and administrative support in a laboratory environment performing basic laboratory techniques, research and analysis under direction.
  • Collects and enters data. Assists in analysis of data and with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
  • Performs other related work as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Minimum requirements include vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field (not typically required to have a four-year degree).
