Description We are offering an opportunity in the professional services industry for a Payroll Accountant based in Chicago, Illinois. The role involves executing semi-monthly payroll processes, managing bank account information, tax payments, and ensuring payroll provider has paid the correct amount of taxes. It also includes annual audit duties and 401K administration.

Responsibilities:

• Handle semi-monthly payroll processes efficiently

• Manage bank account information related to payroll

• Ensure accurate tax payments by payroll provider

• Provide payroll information for annual audits

• Submit files to 401K services

• Work through complicated situations with a systematic approach

• Utilize Ceridian Payroll System for various payroll related tasks

• Administer bi-Monthly Payroll

• Handle 401k - RRSP Administration tasks effectively. Requirements • Proficiency in the Ceridian Payroll System is essential

• Experience with bi-Monthly Payroll processing is required

• Knowledge in 401k - RRSP Administration is obligatory

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal payroll and tax laws

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
