We are offering an opportunity for an Overnight Inventory Clerk to work within the non-profit sector in Chicago, Illinois. As an Inventory Clerk, you will be tasked with managing inventory-related tasks, ensuring that the inventory rooms are well-stocked and organized. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our services and the well-being of those we serve. The schedule for this role is M-F 10:30 PM - 7 AM!

Responsibilities:

• Manage inventory by pulling and restocking items in inventory rooms

• Address stock outages proactively to prevent disruption of services

• Collaborate closely with a team of technicians to ensure timely replenishment of inventory

• Maintain communication with nursing staff to ensure necessary supplies are always available

• Implement manual tracking for specific rooms that do not have automated inventory systems

• Monitor the use of supplies to prevent overstocking and wastage due to expiration

• Ensure a smooth inventory process in rooms that are not always occupied

• Collaborate with nursing staff to manage supply returns and handle product expiration issues effectively

• Utilize adequate inventory skills to maintain an optimally stocked inventory at all times.

Requirements • Must have a solid understanding of inventory control procedures and concepts

• Proficient in using inventory software and databases

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, moving, and arranging products

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience in the non-profit sector is a plus

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• A commitment to the mission and values of the organization

• Willingness to comply with all organizational policies and procedures.
