The Strategic Alignment & Communication Manager is part of the US Technology Team. Simply put, this role is responsible for developing and implementing strategic and robust communication agendas across the US Technology organization and with our owner/operator partners; This role will be the communication expert on some of our highest technology priorities, a strategic advisor to our US Technology leadership team and cornerstone to the overall health and operations of the department!

Primary Duties:

  • Partners with technical project teams and cross-functional business partners to lead the development and execution of comprehensive communication and stakeholder engagement strategies, enabling the successful development and deployment of our most impactful technology initiatives.

  • Advises, aligns and influences team members on effective communications strategy, key areas of focus and desired impact (identify advocates and change agents, gaps, potential barriers, communication planning, measurement strategy, presentation materials, etc.).

  • Strategically counsel the US Technology leadership team and responsible for the execution on organizational health, team engagement and talent development opportunities across the department. Including leading an annual employee engagement calendar and implementing activities to improve team engagement, managing the execution and action planning against employee pulse surveys, and ensuring department adherence to HR performance management practices.

  • In partnership with the broader US Technology Strategic Alignment & Communications Team, supports the orchestration and engagement with US Technology’s key business partners - notably our US owner/operators - to activate our strategic narrative and change agenda.

  • Innovative ways and procedures surrounding the Technology communications (seeking efficiencies, new insights and ultimately, effectiveness) and identifies and applies new, creative ways to reach and engage external audiences through content and other new online and offline approaches.

  • Develops and maintains relationships with critical partners across the U.S. business, including owner/operators, field & national technology teams and communications to foster alignment and elevation of the US Technology narrative.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years’ proven experience working in business, communications, change management, organizational excellence, or other related areas.

  • Outstanding written and verbal skills, including a demonstrated ability to collaborate with technical team members, technical language, and offer translation into concepts that are easily understood by general business or executive audiences.

  • Consistent track record of driving and implementing successful, insight-based, creative communications programs that delivered against brand business objectives, on time and within budget

  • Experience with technology preferred.

  • Able to navigate complexity, diverse teams with various collaborator needs, while delivering tangible outcomes

  • Experience supporting organizational change, establishing team culture and optimizing interpersonal operations.

  • Demonstrated combination of education and years of professional experience showing ability to work with senior leader teams, provide strategic recommendations, and implement action.

  • Ability to present in front of and lead discussions among large audiences.

  • Capable of being structured and methodical, while also flexible and adaptable to changing organization needs, technology innovation, and interpersonal transformation.

  • Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365 / O365, including Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote). Able to show experience with or potential to learn Smartsheet and other digital tools.
