Work Schedule: 8 Hr (8:00:00 AM - 5:00:00 PM)

Summary:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for determining best practices for manipulating data, completing analyses, and calculating compensation for faculty and advanced practice providers based on defined objectives and benchmarks. The Financial Analyst develops and maintains databases, dashboards, and custom reports/queries. In addition, the Financial Analyst works with RUMG leaders to develop reports on productivity, financial variances, operational metrics, and other reporting needs. Required Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.

• Three years of relevant experience required.

• Experience with clinical information management required.

• Experience in data abstraction and report analysis required.

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.

• Ability to work in a complex clinical information environment.

• A high level of analytical ability is required.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

• Ability to work independently.

• The ability to check documents for errors, use a keyboard to enter or retrieve data, and closely examine reports.

• Possesses initiative and ability to work alone and within a close team environment.

• Possesses quality, integrity, and customer service focused with the ability to handle simultaneous projects accurately and within deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Develops and recommends financial models and cost projections and develops/manages budgets associated with provider compensation.

• Completes ad-hoc internal and external benchmarking surveys and analyses of faculty, physician, and advanced practice providers’ performance and compensation.

• Assists with the administration and implementation of faculty compensation pay practices for RUMG.

• Maintains physician compensation, FTE, and contract details database.

• Assists in the interpretation of pay practices as stipulated in the physician employment agreements and medical group professional services agreements.

• Works with Human Resources and Payroll to ensure timely and accurate implementation of salary and FTE changes and reports on faculty allocations by mission to ensure accurate monthly reporting.

• Collaborates with RUMG stakeholders on wRVU and other clinical incentive metric reporting and dashboards.

• Responsible for the preparation and development of forecasts and projections of earned incentives, ad hoc analyses, and other financial reports as needed.

• Assists with the coordination and development of financial modeling of organizational strategic goals and initiatives.

• Supports the adjudication of bi-annual incentive calculations which includes productivity, quality, and non-clinical incentives.

• Participates in the development and implementation of new systems and databases relating to faculty, physician, and advanced practice provider compensation.
