Work Schedule: 8 Hr (8:00:00 AM - 5:00:00 PM)

Summary:

RUSH University Medical Center, RUSH Oak Park, and RUSH Copley are systematizing their medical group operations as well as their support staff under one RUSH University System for Health. The Finance Integration Specialist will support the VP Corporate Finance and Financial Operations within the Finance structure across the RUSH system and select IT components of the systemization.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Five or more years of experience in project management and business administration.

  • Certifications in Project Management, Project Management Professional, Prosci, and/or similar certifications or applicable work experience. If not currently certified, this role is expected to gain certification within a reasonable timeframe to complete the certification.

  • Broad background with concentration in Finance but also ability to work across the system and understand human resources, supply chain, IT, with a preference for experience with health care organizations.

  • Experience in merger & acquisition or organization harmonization work.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and relationship-building abilities.

  • Knowledge of process mapping (e.g., tools, techniques, concepts). Demonstrated data-driven mindset and instinct for extracting insights from metrics to generate informed decision-making.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent projects and lead mid-sized projects (e.g., identifying potential process improvements). Exceptional critical thinking and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize. Excellent written and oral communications skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., MS Project, Visio). Experience with project portfolio management tools.

Responsibilities:

  1. Leads and organizes Finance projects and coordinates/collaborates with the HR Integration Specialist. Manages project governance and communicates to project stakeholders. Develops project deliverables (e.g., metrics to track how constituent projects align to program strategies/goals). Oversees implementation of projects and continuous improvement activities.

  2. Articulates vision/roadmap to diverse groups (e.g., project teams, stakeholders). Attends/leads regular status meetings (e.g., to monitor project updates, gather change requests, communicate risks/issues across project teams). Socializes key messages to project leadership. Delivers customized project/portfolio reports (e.g., progress and performance of initiatives) to a broad range of stakeholders.

  3. Manages expectations through building and presenting business cases and risk assessments. Develops key performance indicators in partnership with stakeholders; closely tracks metrics to evaluate realized benefits. Diagnoses project/program challenges with objectivity; designs rational solutions in response. Identifies and triages project risks; escalates to leadership as appropriate.

  4. Understands how Finance operates to effectuate projects/programs that facilitate department goals. Defines and gains alignment on project success criteria and business benefits. Performs analysis (e.g., program harmonization efficiencies/expense, coordinated project audits/reviews, etc.)

  5. Provides insights to influence development of future strategic roadmaps. Demonstrates alignment to RUSH’s strategic plan. Maintains currency with industry knowledge and new project/program management methodologies, frameworks, tools, and technologies.

  6. Promotes an environment that fosters inclusive relationships and creates unbiased opportunities for contributions through ideas, words, and actions that uphold principles of RUSH’s vision and values.
