Job Description

The Director of Creative Technology is a key leadership role responsible for setting the vision and direction of the creative technology discipline within the organization. As a strategic and creative leader, you will oversee the development of groundbreaking digital solutions that redefine the intersection of technology and creativity. This role demands an innovative thinker with a strong track record in leading high-performing teams and delivering exceptional digital experiences.

This is a freelance role reporting to the Senior Vice President, Executive Creative Director.

Responsibilities

  • Set the strategic direction for the creative technology discipline, aligning with organizational goals and industry evolution.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of creative technologists, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

  • Spearhead the development of innovative digital solutions, leveraging emerging technologies to create impactful user experiences.

  • Establish and nurture partnerships with clients, technology vendors, and creative communities, enhancing the organization's capabilities and reputation.

  • Drive the ideation and conceptualization of digital projects, ensuring they are strategically aligned and creatively ambitious.

  • Oversee the delivery of projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, innovation, and impact.

  • Engage in business development activities, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion within the creative technology space.

  • Champion the integration of new technologies and methodologies, maintaining the organization's leadership position in the digital landscape.

  • Provide thought leadership in the industry, sharing insights and trends that shape the future of creative technology.

  • Ensure the team has access to the latest tools and training, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.

  • Lead the financial and operational management of the creative technology discipline, ensuring its growth and sustainability.

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, bridging the gap between technology, creative, and production teams.

  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and forums, elevating its profile in the creative technology domain.

  • Develop and implement policies and practices that support the health and wellbeing of the team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

  • Continuously evaluate and refine the strategic approach to creative technology, ensuring it remains at the forefront of innovation.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant field with 10+ years of experience in creative technology or related disciplines, including significant leadership experience.

  • Proven track record of leading teams in the development and delivery of innovative digital projects.

  • Deep expertise in emerging technologies, digital trends, and creative innovation.

  • Strong strategic, analytical, and business development skills, with a history of driving growth and innovation.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams, engage clients, and lead industry change.

Compensation Range: $100/hr - $130/hr. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. This role may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.
