Actalent Designer in Chicago, Illinois

A global architecture firm, focused on interiors, is looking to add a Designer to their team!

Job Description

The Designer provides design support primarily in project administration, concept design, design development, and contract documents while working under the general supervision of a Project Manager. The role involves developing design ideas, creating presentations, drafting technical drawings, and reviewing junior designers' space plans. Additionally, the Designer will ensure construction documents comply with firm standards, building systems, codes, and ADA requirements. They will also assist in researching and selecting fixtures and finishes, producing preliminary concept designs, and managing design budgets. The role includes conducting client interviews to determine project needs and may require site visits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Architecture, Interior Design, or equivalent is required

  • 7+ years of professional experience in corporate interiors projects

  • Working knowledge of contract documents and procedures, building systems, codes and ADA requirements

  • Proficiency in Revit is required, Enscape is preferred

  • Previous FF&E, spec, contract administration and space planning experience is required
