Conagra Continuous Improvement Specialist - Reliability Engineering (Remote) in Chicago, Illinois

As the Continuous Improvement Specialist - Reliability Engineer, you will support manufacturing plants to enhance Asset Reliability through technical support to the Maintenance function, with the goal of optimizing the Time-based (PM) and Condition-based Maintenance (CbM) processes resulting in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvements. Analyze Equipment History, and coach Technical Expertise including Statistical Analysis, Predictive technologies, and creative Problem Solving to rectify equipment issues causing significant or repetitive failures. You will be focused on data analytics of past failures and current equipment condition to make meaningful impacts to future Equipment Effectiveness. You will report to the Maintenance Manager, Plant Manager or Manager of Continuous Improvement - Reliability Engineering as a member of the Reliability Center of Excellence.

You Will:

  • As a member of the Reliability Center of Excellence team, you will support the Reliability-centered Maintenance (RCM) Program. This includes collaborating with the manufacturing facilities to support the, design and development of their RCM program to determine effective asset maintenance strategies based on identified failure modes, effects, consequences, and the risk they pose both internally and externally. RCM program management may include:

  • Facilitate RCM Analysis workshops on the top 5% of facility assets by critically raking.

  • Utilize statistical tools such as Weibull Analysis to determine failure rate curves

  • Collaborate with Plant's Maintenance Planners to develop failure mode driven maintenance procedures based upon RCM Analysis results.

  • Coordinate with plant's asset owners and maintenance management to secure understanding, approval, and endorsement of maintenance strategies.

  • Support the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Program. Coaching the plants to define, design, develop, facilitate, monitor, and refine the program. RCA program management support may include:

  • Conduct Bad Actor Analysis (BAA) to determine significance and facilitating Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to pinpoint the origins of Performance, Availability, and Quality issues.

  • Provide facilitation to the plant's Asset Criticality Analysis

  • Support the programs Preventive Maintenance Evaluation (PME) and Preventative Maintenance Optimization (PMO).

  • This includes utilization of Human-Factored Procedure writing.

  • Collaborate with Capital Delivery and Project Engineering to facilitate Design for Reliability (DfR) and Design for Maintainability (DfM) of new and modified installations.

  • Participate in the final inspection and commissioning validation of new equipment installations. This involves sign-off of Function Testing and performing Baseline inspections.

  • Calculate Asset Life-Cycle Costs (LCC) and durations on A critical equipment.

  • Ensure machinery is operating at peak performance, by calculating and assessing the Asset Life-Cycle Costs and duration of equipment.

  • Support the Condition-based Maintenance (CbM) Program by collaborating with maintenance managers to define, design, develop, facilitate, monitor, and refine their CbM processes and programs. The CbM program includes:

  • Vibration Analysis (VA)

  • Infrared Thermography Mechanical

  • Motor Circuit Analysis / Electrical Signature Analysis

  • Oil Analysis (OA) / Tribology

  • Ultrasonic Emission (UE)

  • Non-destructive Testing (NDT).

  • Visual Testing (VT)

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field

  • 3+ of previous maintenance experience

  • Experience with Preventative Maintenance programs. .

  • Familiarity with statistical tools and software.

  • Excellent teamwork and facilitation skills

  • Remote position that will travel up to 75% of time on average. Must be able to travel independently and as a responsible CAG representative.

  • Willingness to obtain CMRP and PdM certifications.

Compensation:

Annual Base Salary: $62,000.00 - $91,000.00

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
