Position Overview

  • Circana is looking for passionate client advocates with strong analytic skills to drive the adoption and advancement of Circana\'s consumer and shopper solutions. The Analyst will serve as the subject matter expert in consumer and shopper insights, collaborating with our clients and internal teams to add value by applying insights gleaned from Circana data sets including household purchase behavior analysis, surveys, and other custom projects/platforms. Seeking individuals with a natural curiosity and passion for consumer insights who can work autonomously in a fast-paced environment while supporting the sell-in of insight to partners to optimize their insights portfolio.
  • Initiative, intellectual curiosity, and an entrepreneurial mindset are critical to identify and address current and future consumer trends. The Analyst will work at all levels across multiple client functions including Category Management, Consumer Insights, Sales, and Brand Management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build sustainable client relationships and establish Circana as the indispensable partner and thought leader in consumer and shopper insights
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze and interpret consumer and shopper data and translate it into meaningful solutions that create value every day for the client
  • Proactively relate consumer insights to category/industry trends to identify and quantify client business opportunities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Track and organize multiple work streams against multiple client stakeholders and manage time and resources against changing priorities
  • Demonstrate interpersonal communication and presentation skills including regular and proactive communication with the internal and client teams
  • Consistently delight the client and act with client satisfaction in mind, following through on commitments to meet or exceed client expectations
  • Drive training and adoption of Circana\'s CSI tools across client cross-functional departments with a key focus on providing incremental insights from Circana\'s consumer solutions
  • Create reports for clients and thought leadership on an ad-hoc and periodic basis
  • Identify opportunities for additional solutions and/or studies to drive Circana\'s growing engagement with clients

Requirements

  • 3+ years of data analysis, client services, retail or consumer packaged goods (CPG) experience within the manufacturer space

  • Experience with consumer panel data or customer data and an understanding of how consumer data can be used to identify business-building opportunities for clients - required

  • Experience and practical application of utilizing longitudinal panel data is highly preferred

  • Expert in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities; curiosity tenacity, and drive

  • Aptitude to synthesize data and develop meaningful conclusions/insights from several data sources

  • Presentation skills and the ability to present to large groups or senior audiences

  • Ability to vocalize issues, ask questions, and challenge the \"status quo\" when appropriate

  • Strong project management skills; proven skills to maintain focus and poise amidst concurrent and competing priorities

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in a related field

  • Experience may be gained in one or more of the environments below:

    • Top-tier consulting firm (i.e., Accenture)
    • CRM-oriented software firm (i.e., Peppers & Rodgers)
    • Retail (i.e., Target)
    • CPG manufacturer (i.e., Kraft)
    • Market Research (i.e. Dunnhumby)
