Consulting Asset Leader - Procurement Solution Job ID: 90743 Who You'll Work With Procurement hubs are part of McKinsey Product Development and Procurement (PDP) service line within Operations practice and are located at major countries worldwide. The team comprises of procurement experts and specialists focusing on providing category management and strategic sourcing support on McKinsey procurement value capture programs to clients. The team leverages a set of in house and third party assisted tools and technology to support category spend optimization for clients and drive codification of best-in-class knowledge for the Firm. You will be based in McKinsey's Client Capability Hubs in Americas preferably in Monterrey in Mexico or Atlanta/Boston/Chicago/Dallas in the USA, as part of our North America Procurement Hub. What You'll Do As the North America Procurement Solution (RFx and Hub) Asset Leader, you will play a pivotal role, with responsibilities spanning following main categories of work. In this role, you will focus on outreach for the adoption of solutions in projects, support the development of new project opportunities, and manage alliances with third-party vendors for eRFX. Additionally, you will be committed to improving capabilities through product and team development while overseeing team operations and handling administrative tasks. You will be responsible for the adoption of RFX tools and Procurement Hub capabilities on McKinsey procurement programs, ensuring a best-in-class experience for consultants and clients. This involves managing third-party solutions throughout their lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the solution vision, and collaborating closely with third-party engineering teams to deliver successful products. Additionally, you will work with consultants and experts to meet adoption and customer satisfaction goals. As an Asset Leader, you will also be tasked with ensuring that solution and marketing efforts align with and support the overall digital Product Development and Procurement (PDP) strategy and goals. As part of this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for internal client serving teams, guiding them to the appropriate capabilities within the North America Procurement Client Capabilities Network (CCN). Additionally, in this role you will oversee and track team utilization, managing the solution balance sheet to ensure optimal resource allocation. You will also conduct steering committees with the CCN and PDP leadership, defining the third-party solution strategy and roadmap. As an Asset leader, you will oversee a team of colleagues across the Procurement Hub and RFX to support McKinsey's dual mission of delivering client impact and developing colleagues. This includes preparing the team to scale and support double the capacity year over year. At the same time, you will be expected to be an expert on procurement topics assisting in letters of proposals (LOPs) and client conversations. Lastly, in this role you will perform product demos for internal client service teams, clients, and in support of workshops and conferences; as well as setting pricing to meet revenue and adoption goals, deliver bi-weekly overview reports, and propose an overall budget to ensure success. Creating annual adoption and revenue forecasts is part of their strategic planning responsibilities of this role. Qualifications University degree with excellent academic record; advanced degree preferred 8+ years of experience working in a fast-paced, high-demand business environment, in procurement Strong entrepreneurial capabilities Excellent problem-solving skills and project management skills Ease in taking top management view and in context of solution. Able to absorb rapidly and grapple with wide range of complex business issues. Strong understanding of procurement with awareness on category management and sourcing tools Effective communicator; able to transl te complex technical and non-technical topics to stakeholders and client peers Must operate as self-starter with strong people leadership, collaboration skills and entrepreneurial drive Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
