Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in CHICAGO, Illinois, 60661-3718, United States. As part of our team, you will be involved in managing various accounting functions, utilizing Accounting Software Systems, and handling Accounts Payable (AP) tasks. You will also be expected to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data entry, and handling discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the execution of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems, such as JD Edwards Enterprise and Great Plains (GPAC), to manage financial data and transactions.

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) tasks, including invoice processing, payment issuance, and account reconciliation.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, report generation, and financial forecasting.

• Perform data entry tasks, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial reports and accounts.

• Process check requests and expense reports on a regular basis.

• Accurately perform daily reconciliations of cash, check and credit card transactions, and tally and file invoices.

• Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Utilize Elite system for various accounting tasks and report generation. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Must have knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is required

• Familiarity with Check Processing is beneficial

• Data Entry skills are necessary

• Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies is important

• Experience with Elite software is an added advantage
