Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This role is in the telecom industry and will involve working with accounting software systems such as Aderant or Elite. This is a short-term contract opportunity where you will be responsible for managing accounts payable functions, working with Microsoft Excel, processing checks, and handling data entry tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize accounting software systems, preferably Aderant or Elite, to manage accounts payable functions

• Use Microsoft Excel to maintain and analyze financial data

• Handle check processing tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Perform data entry tasks, inputting financial information into necessary systems

• Identify and resolve any discrepancies in billing or payments

• Regularly monitor and update accounts payable records

• Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline processes and improve efficiency

• Provide assistance in other accounting functions as necessary

• Communicate effectively with other team members and departments regarding accounts payable issues. Requirements • Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems

• Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Excel

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Check Processing procedures

• Proficient in Data Entry tasks

• Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies in accounts

• Experience using Elite accounting software

• Knowledge of Aderant software for accounting and billing.
