Project Manager
POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Corporate Project Management department. This role will be responsible for working directly with key stakeholders and project teams to initiate, plan, monitor, and execute the scope, schedule, budget, risk, communication and quality processes on corporate technology projects. The chosen candidate will manage and deliver projects within defined scope, schedule and budgeting, utilizing project management best practices. They will contribute and share continuous process improvement (CPI) ideas to the Corporate PMO and participate in department roadmap strategy discussions and team training activities.
This position is posted in Boise, Hailey and Denver but, can work remotely from any location in the U.S. (Please note in the application where you prefer to be located).
Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure that all PM responsibilities are addressed, including develop and maintain schedules, lead project status meetings, budget and schedule controls, and take a significant role in relationship development with sponsors, stakeholders, and colleagues.
Manage project teams in a matrix-reporting environment
Adapt to and promote POWER’s culture
Develop and manage relationships with project sponsors, key stakeholders, project team members and PM and Business Analyst department team members
Manage Stage Gate efforts that include drafting and issuing project requests, Financial Analysis workbook, project work plans, preliminary schedules and external RFPs
Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor project plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures and communicate via monthly project status reports.
Report any possible or current blockers, risks, overflows, deficits to appropriate individuals
Ensure internal clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
Track and manage all project work scope variances.
Ensure appropriate management and project sponsors receive proactive communication regarding changes to project scope, schedule and budget
Communicate ideas for improving the PM department processes and best practices with a positive and constructive attitude, and help develop this attitude in others
Required Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Math or related discipline
PMP Certification
Minimum seven (7) years of solid and focused project management experience, involving corporate strategy, Information Technology (e.g. infrastructure, custom application development, integrating vendor-specific solutions)
Software Development Lifecycle and/or Agile project experience
Successful track record of leading project teams
Technical understanding of IT infrastructure and enterprise business systems, as well as familiarity with project centric organizations
Familiarity and collaboration experience with Business Analyst processes and/or requirements gathering techniques
Effective client-facing and internal team communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
Ability to create effective relationships, listen, influence, and collaborate with internal teams
Demonstrated attention to detail and time management capabilities
Ability to work effectively within a geographically distributed team
Desired Experience/Qualifications:
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics F&O ERP, Customer Engagement, Project Operations
Familiarity with CAD/BIM design tools (AutoDesk/Bentley suites)
Familiarity of reality capture technology
Familiarity with emerging AI and ML technologies
Familiarity with cloud computing technologies

Base Salary Range: $85K - $130K
The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
