DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will ensure the efficient operation of natural gas and oil boilers under both normal and emergency conditions, using both manual and automatic control systems. You will interpret visual and aural gauges, meters, and sensing devices, perform both routine and non-routine maintenance, and conduct operational assessments. Additionally, you will clean and maintain equipment, make minor repairs to ensure proper functionality, and operate and maintain auxiliary equipment. You will work independently to analyze problems and implement effective solutions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40-hour work week Work hours are to be determined based on operational needs. Possible shifts include 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a steam or hot water generating plant, or a steam and electric generating plant; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements: Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
