Summary You will serve as a AIRCRAFT MECHANICAL PARTS REPAIRER in the Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East of FLTREADCEN EAST. Responsibilities You will assist higher graded employees in completion of difficult tasks. You will have knowledge of proper tools associated with assigned tasks relevant to the target job. You will make judgments on the proper sequence of steps while performing assigned non-routine work. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Must have knowledge and skill commensurate with "Worker" level of the Aircraft Mechanical Parts Repairer trade, WG-8, to qualify for this training program. 2) Must have knowledge of characteristics of the work of the "target" job sufficient to perform routine tasks of the job with only general guidance as to the necessary steps required. 3) Must be able to select and know how to use the proper tools associated with assigned tasks relevant to the target job. 4) Must be able to perform non-recurring tasks associated with the target job when specific instructions are provided regarding steps to follow for suck work. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.
