Description We are seeking a Medical Billing Specialist in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. This role is within the healthcare industry and will involve managing various aspects of medical billing. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity and will be based in a dynamic, fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process medical billing for patients

• Handle and resolve customer inquiries related to their medical billing

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer billing records

• Monitor patient accounts and take appropriate actions to ensure prompt payment

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and manage billing data

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient billing processes

• Adhere to all industry regulations and standards related to medical billing

• Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals to resolve any discrepancies in billing

• Continuously update skills and knowledge to stay current with medical billing practices and procedures

• Provide superior customer service to all patients with regards to their billing. Requirements

• 1+ year experience in the role of a Medical Billing Specialist or similar position in the healthcare industry.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

• Extensive knowledge and practical experience in medical billing and coding processes.

• A strong understanding of medical terminologies and procedures.

• Demonstrated ability to accurately enter data and maintain detailed records.

• Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.

• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Must be detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in all work.

• High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive patient information.

• Knowledge of medical billing software and electronic health record systems is a plus.

• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and medical laws is desirable.
