Key job responsibilities

You will work with Product Managers, QAEs, SDETs, and SDEs to understand key features and technical implementation. You will create automated test cases in order to report to stakeholders on the quality and reliability of our products. You will plan tests and engage with many other cross-functional teams to evangelize best practices. Come help us build world class software for our customers around the world!

You will need to be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fun, fast-paced dynamic team environment. As a QAE, you will develop, execute and maintain tests for our products. QAEs are expected to have industry-leading technical abilities that enable them to significantly improve product quality. You should have a combination of solid in-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance as well as a solid understanding of how to build and test world-ready products.

A day in the life

A typical day would have some combination of trying out and understanding new devices, features and tools as they are built, envisioning test strategies, developing testplans & testcases, overseeing test execution and building test automation for regression testing. You will also get the opportunity to partner with other teams in Amazon to ensure their quality programs have coverage to ensure all of our customers have a delightful experience

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Chennai, TN, IND

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of quality assurance engineering experience

  • 4+ years of delivering test frameworks, test tools, leading the QA projects and initiatives experience

  • Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in an QAE role

  • Experience in manual testing

  • Experience in automation testing

  • Experience scripting or coding

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of UI Automation (preferably on mobile platforms) experience

  • Knowledge of at least one modern object-oriented programming language such as C++, Java, Objective C
