Position Description

BGS Mods is looking for a multi-skilled Associate Manufacturing Engineer to support the large aircraft modifications to meet customer requirements and procedures defined in the company. This new role is based within the Boeing Global Services Modifications and conversion Team in Chennai India; where we support the Long beach team for MEC task and MBOM/CAO activity. This center has a highly skilled team of engineers that is growing in 2024. Be a part of our passionate and motivated team that always keep an eye to identify potential opportunities to improve and standardize the assembly process for our diverse range of products.

Manufacturing engineering (ME) function is responsible to translate the design definitions into physical products. ME activities would span across the life cycle of a product including but not limited to understanding of the design requirements, raw materials, fabrication, sequence of build, quality and validation of the final product. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be part of a global team working on providing ME solutions to a wide range of Boeing products and services across the world.

Position Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of Aerospace Materials and Processes of Manufacturing.

• Aware of manufacturing execution systems like CAPP/MES, PDM.

• Working knowledge with CATIA/ENOVIA Modelling software’s.

• Experience with Boeing products/Commercial aircraft platforms is highly desirable.

• Continuously review the existing process and drive process improvements

• Depending on applicant experience, review documentation produced by other members of staff or by suppliers. Validate and approve the Retrofit Kit document for ME signoff.

• Component availability for ordering of the parts to avoid the lead time.

• Creation and approval of the Manufacturing Bill of Material of the kit in E-view, M-view and LC-View.

• Validate and signoff the Engineering parts in ENOVIA and PDM.

• Should be supporting to Long Beach team during customer meetings such as ITCM, PDR, CDR and FAI in support of active and up-coming projects. Provide additional on-site support to assist

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) :

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required as Basic Qualification.

• 5 - 10 years of work experience in aerospace manufacturing.

• Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

• Proficient with GD&T

• Working knowledge with ME execution systems CAPP/MES

• Working knowledge with CATIA/ENOVIA and PDM

• Strong written, oral, and Business presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Be fluent in written and spoken English, and familiar with MS Office tools.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience.

Relocation:

This position does offer relocation within INDIA.
