University of Virginia Assistant Professor of Psychology, AGF in Charlottesville, Virginia

The Department of Psychology at the University of Virginia invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Psychology, general faculty, beginning August 2024. We are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in Developmental Psychology. This is a one-year, tenure-ineligible appointment without possibility of renewal.

Responsibilities will include teaching three courses per semester, including foundational classes in Child Development. The Department is also interested in applicants that can teach laboratory or experiential learning classes.

A PhD in Developmental Psychology or related field is required for this position. Applicants must hold a terminal degree at the time of appointment.

We prefer applicants with teaching experience in Developmental Psychology, Child Development, or Developmental Psychopathology. We are also interested in applicants that have experience or capabilities to offer lab-based or other experiential learning experiences in smaller group seminars.
