Cedar Fair Security Operations Supervisor in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

Overview:

Supervises the day to day administrative operation of the Security sections as well as monitoring the logistical operation of the department. Represents interest of department in the absence of department managers. Provides training for staff and maintains training documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs all duties in a safe manner. Ensures all duties in location are performed in a safe manner and by established guidelines.

  • Orientates, trains, directs, schedules, evaluates, counsels and disciplines associates. Completes required documentation.

  • Oversees the operation of locations.

  • Communicates concern between management and associates.

  • Responds to and assists with emergency situations that may occur.

  • Completes administrative paperwork (i.e. time cards, schedules, labor reports, evaluations and associates file documents) as required by department.

  • Ensures Associates have necessary resources to do job.

  • Moves throughout entire area of responsibility regularly to maintain awareness of total operation.

  • Notifies maintenance of equipment problems, building repairs, etc. necessary to ensure safe and efficient operation.

  • Assists in coordination special events

  • Inspects Officer's appearance to ensure proper grooming/equipment is being used.

  • Keeps Security management advised of any problems and incidents.

  • Ensures that Security vehicles are maintained properly.

  • Maintains equipment inventory.

  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

  • Computer skills to include working knowledge of word and excel.

  • Administrative background preferred.

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Meet South Carolina Law Enforcement Division security officer requirements.

  • Possess a current and valid driver's license and submit it upon request.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.

  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.

  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

  • Driver's License
