McDonald's People Experience Lead- PEL in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

POSITION PURPOSE

The People Experience Lead responsibilities might include performing People practice related duties and provide direction as appropriate to franchise management and restaurant staff. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, retention and engagement, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, and employment law compliance.

*This is a Full Time / Salaried position that will require work to be completed both in store and in the office.

Primary Responsibilities

In addition to following the franchisee organization’s policies and procedures, principal responsibilities might include, but not be limited to:

• Provide coaching, training, counsel, and direction to all Franchisee staff to help ensure

restaurants execute/comply with the franchisee organization’s People policies, practices, and

tools

. Training & development of shift managers and crew trainers

• Monitor all People metrics for the restaurants that they are accountable for to support the growth

of franchisee’s sales, guest counts and cash flow

• Lead the execution of all significant People initiatives that focus on employee engagement and

retention

• Partner with restaurant management to deliver on all aspects of staffing and performance

management

• Assist in deploying change initiatives through education and training for franchisee staff,

restaurant management, and crew

• Ensure all franchisee and restaurant management are educated/trained in executing an effective

onboarding and off boarding process for staff and restaurant employees

• Ensure proper management of leaves of absences, Worker’s Comp and other employment claims

• Anticipate and inform franchisee of pending employment trend changes or events that may

impact the organization

• Help restaurant management remain focused and engaged during times of change (i.e., facilitate

listening sessions, surveys, etc.)

• Demonstrate and reinforce the leadership behaviors that support the franchisee’s vision.

• Collaborate with Owner Operator People Experience Network (OPEN) to learn and share best

practices in all areas of People for franchisee organization.

Recommended Experience/Requirements

. McDonald's experience preferred, but not required

• Human Resources /Training Experience

• Experience in the retail/hospitality industry preferred

• Understanding of general Human Resources policies and procedures

• Good knowledge of employment/labor laws

• Working knowledge of MS Office

• Excellent communication and People skills

• Aptitude in problem-solving
