Job Summary

The HR Manager is part of the Compass One Healthcare team whose primary role is to provide high-touch strategic HR support. Acts as the link between HR and the business ensuring effective communication and a consistent approach. The HRM seeks to develop integrated solutions and formulates partnerships to deliver value added HR services that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HRM maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business, and should be a content expert regarding talents strategies, policies & procedures, program implementation, with knowledge of state and local employment laws & Promotes workplace diversity in all people processes & activities: promotions, building teams, talent management, etc. This position is remote from home office with occasional travel as needed.

This position is remote with approximately 25% travel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides strategic support to operational leaders on strategies to address turnover, retention, talent management, employee engagement, and other HR initiatives important to the success of our business.

  • Acts as Talent Management lead for assigned Regional Vice Presidents and Regional Directors and facilitates succession planning sessions and talent reviews to identify associate skills gaps and recommend training requirements and Performance Development Plans.

  • Partners with Operations to build best practices that influence positive behaviors to create the emotional connection to the workplace that increases the level of effort and trust between employees and managers.

  • Uses associate engagement survey data to support units with feedback sessions, action planning and follow-up.

  • Investigates and advises management on appropriate resolution on high-risk employee relations issues, partnering with the HR Advice and Guidance team, Labor Relations and Legal as necessary.

  • Attends RVP/RDO meetings and calls to increase HR visibility, conduct training, provide guidance, and implement strategic HR initiatives.

  • Serve as liaison between Human Resources Business Partner team and corporate leaders within Payroll, LOA and PeopleHub teams to resolve escalated Employee Central issues.

  • Collaborate with Field Human Resources, Centers of Excellence and PeopleHub team to drive continuous improvement of process and system changes as needed.

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.

  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.

  • Other projects and assignments as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or HR certification, or equivalent related work experience.

  • Two-five (2-5) years’ experience in a multi-site, multi-state environment preferred.

  • Previous experience in overseeing the activities of a large number of employees in multiple sites and multiple states highly desirable.

  • Associate relations experience a must.

  • Union experience a plus.

  • Excellent MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, People Hub experience a plus.

  • Must be willing to work the necessary hours and schedule to meet business needs.

  • Must be able to travel up to 25%
