Job Summary
The Manager of Food Policy & Innovation will be responsible for creating and updating Compass food safety and regulatory policies. The Manager will lead Compass on food safety, food technology and regulatory aspects for food innovations, technologies and route to market. Work cross-functionally to create food safety and operation programs and materials for new and existing food markets and participate in Crisis Management and recall programs.
Responsibilities:
Develop shelf-life, organoleptic and quality specifications for new and existing products
Create food safety and operation programs and materials for new and existing food markets
Participate in Crisis Management and recall programs
Up to 40% travel
Qualifications:
B.S in Food Technology or life sciences or related field
3-5 yrs. in food technology or Quality Assurance
Experience in Food Code and local regulatory requirements
Communication and project management skills
Proven ability to take projects from conception to market in a team, multidepartment system
