Full-Time Parks/Cemetery Maintenance Operator
Looking for an opportunity to work in the great outdoors and provide well for yourself and your family? The City of Chadron is looking for someone to join our team in the position of a Full-time Parks/Cemetery Maintenance Operator.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing tasks related to the care,
- Maintenance and construction of grounds, buildings, and equipment in the numerous City parks, ball fields and Greenwood Cemetery; as well as backup services at the Chadron Municipal Airport.

Salary:The City of Chadron offers excellent benefits: $18.16 - $24.34/ per hour based on experience; sick leave, 40 hours of annual leave after 30 days, three personal leave days and nine paid holidays. A full benefits package including an outstanding health care plan (full family coverage is just $247.09 per month), dental and vision insurance, $50,000 in term life insurance as well as a 7% retirement benefit, Education Assistance Program and Employee Assistance Program.
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent,
- Two years experience in repair and maintenance work in a parks/cemetery system
- Ability to obtain a commercial pesticide applicator license
- Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions

- Physical and background check if a conditional offer is made
