Description

We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Associate in Cerritos, California. This role is fundamental to the organization, providing essential support in managing the accounts payable process.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire invoice process, including data entry, approving, and payment

• Organize invoices into categories and batches for payment processing

• Verify vendor information for accuracy, including addresses and Federal ID numbers

• Calculate all extensions and totals on invoices, and determine tax status

• Perform 3-way matching of invoices with purchase order and packing slip copies

• Determine General Ledger Codes for each invoice and record it accordingly

• Reconcile monthly credit card statements and vendor statements before payment

• Provide customer service to vendors inquiring about payment status

• Contact vendors to clarify any questionable invoice items or prices

• Ensure proper approval has been acquired for timely payments for all invoices

• Perform copying, scanning, filing, and organizing of invoices and other accounting department documents

• Conduct research to resolve discrepancies on invoices and work with vendors to reconcile accounts.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years full cycle AP experience

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Excellent problem-solving skills for resolving payment discrepancies

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
