Infrastructure Engineer

This role will play a pivotal role in in designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and supports our technology stack. Additionally, this role will partner with teams across the organization to ensure that scalability, reliability and security of our systems to ensure top performance and seamless operations.
What You’ll Accomplish and Experience
Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure components including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies
Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, configuration, and monitoring processes
Implement best practices for security, compliance, and disaster recovery to safeguard sensitive data and ensure business continuity
Collaborate with team to optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure dependencies
Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving potential bottlenecks or vulnerabilities
Participate in capacity planning and scalability assessments to support the company's growth objectives
Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines for internal reference and knowledge sharing
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on our infrastructure and recommending strategic enhancements
Required to be point of escalation for infrastructure items, this may include nights, weekends and holidays
Desirable Previous Experience
Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet
Proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems.
Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker Swarm)
Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls.
Familiarity with networking & server virtualization technologies (e.g., Cisco Fabric, ONIE/ONL/Sonic, VMware, XenServer, Harvester)
Experience with SAN and NAS technologies, including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and NFS/CIFS.
Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions like Veeam, Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, or similar.
Familiarity with storage monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds).
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze complex systems and implement effective solutions
Ability to work in a fast pace environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus
