Ballroom Dance Director
The Director of Ballroom Dance supervises all activities associated with the ballroom dance program at SUU as a student organization. The director provides leadership for all performances, off-campus tours and performances.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Schedule fall and spring concerts and all performance events for the academic year.
• Ensure that PVA classes are on the class schedule and all ballroom events are on SUU's master schedule.
• Set up paid performances for mini-tour and year end tours, as well as planning and scheduling all aspects of the tour i.e., company travel, setting schedule, reserving hotels, arranging transportation, and securing certificates of liability for all show venues through SUU's guidelines.
• Train and supervise student leaders and student employees.
• Encourage attention to academics and monitor student's academic status.
• Ability to maintain and re-purpose costumes.
• Complete and submit all necessary university paperwork, requisitions, statements, etc.
• Maintain the Ballroom Dance budget according to SUU policy.
