Your Role

• Accurate and timely compilation of Import Declarations as per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) • To ensure that service expectations are met in accordance with agreed KPIs

Your Responsibilities

  • Gather and evaluate documents as minimum requirement for clearance, file, scan and upload correct and complete documents on Cargowise

  • Determine appropriate Incoterm to be used for clearing shipments, when to apply AU Free trade agreements, correct tagging of discount, freight charges, pick-up charges

  • Create Customs Client ID in Cargowise when code is not available and identify correct Customer Code and Shipper Code

  • Determine the last and final invoice issued - it may be the manufacturer, supplier or distributor

  • Analyze relationship of currency and country of origin. (convertion to Australian Dollar)

  • Monitor and update transhipments and Sea freight sailing schedule

  • Compute correct Landed Costing for specific accounts and send out computation to assigned brokers

  • Completes customs clearance and correctly tagged them for entry lodgment and classification

  • Chase origin in case there are any discrepancies of the documents, fumigation certificate for compliance with the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources (Australia)

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Customs Administration / Logistics / Business / Finance.

  • At least 2 years working experience in Finance, Sea, and Air Logistics

  • Preferably with experience in the Customs Brokerage

  • MS Outlook (Intermediate) and MS Excel (Basic)

  • Basic knowledge of Incoterms, Harmonized Tariff Schedule and Customs regulations

  • Highly Analytical, process oriented and ability to work with demanding deadlines

  • Advanced English Proficiency
