About The Job

Brightly Software, a Siemens company is seeking a Technology Senior Project Manager, in the Technology PMO team. This will report into the PMO Director, and will work directly with the head of Cloud Operations and organization, as well as look to partner with leaders and team members across Technology and Product. The right candidate offers a solid blend of senior project manager and agile skills with the ability to see the big picture, while supporting the agile process execution of the teams. They will seek to understand what is working, what is not, and based on expert technical knowledge, assist the team in improving their process execution.

Responsibilities aka “Your Impact”:

• Lead the end-to-end planning, coordination, and report-out of technical projects, creatively navigating constraints to maximize value across Cloud Operations.

• Cultivate a psychologically safe environment that encourages experimentation, continuous improvement, and open communication.

• Align teams on shared objectives through Design Thinking, Lean Startup, Agile, and other frameworks, enabling them to deliver exceptional results.

• Implement and refine project strategies, ensuring seamless integration of open-source tools that enhance productivity and collaboration.

• Establish clear project milestones and performance indicators to measure success and drive iterative improvements.

• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and retrospectives that encourage transparent feedback and innovative problem-solving.

• Coach and mentor team members, empowering them to take ownership, show leadership, and deliver quality outcomes.

• Advocate for a culture of autonomy, enabling teams to experiment and shape their workflows to meet evolving project needs.

• Rapidly adapt project strategies to meet shifting requirements while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

• Identify gaps and opportunities for coordination, collaboration, and communication through process improvements.

Essential Job Qualifications aka “Keys to Success”:

• 5+ years of experience as a operations project manager including experience launching / executing projects through their full lifecycle.

• Experience or demonstrable understanding with Cloud based operations / infrastructure.

• Proven success leading technical projects with strategic thinking and adaptable problem-solving skills.

• Expertise in Agile, Lean Startup, Design Thinking, and other frameworks that optimize project delivery.

• Proficiency in leveraging tools for efficient collaboration and streamlined workflows.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster unity and build alignment in diverse, cross-functional teams.

• Ability to cultivate psychologically safe environments that encourage team members to take ownership and show leadership.

• Demonstrated creativity in solving challenges and delivering value under tight timelines and limited resources.

Bonus Qualifications aka “Preferred, but not required” :

• Experience supporting applications and/or projects in AWS.

• Experience with or understanding of infrastructure as Code (IaC) - particularly Terraform and Cloud Formation.

• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) best practices.

• Ability to identify operations improvements through automation.

What you need

• 4 year degree in Computer Science (preferred) or related technical/engineering degree

• 5+ years of progressively complex project management experience in cloud operations, with at least 4 of those years' experience managing Agile project delivery

• In depth knowledge of Agile (scrum/Kanban)

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple time-critical projects

• Fluency with the following tools: Jira, Confluence, MSOffice

• Ability to work effectively in teams and most importantly, work in a virtual environment

• Demonstratable ability to influence without reporting authority

• Personal integrity, always honest and an unfailing personal ethic of “doing the right thing”

The pay range for this position is <$105,000 – $175,000>. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
