Carlisle Interconnect Technologies Technical Trainer in Carlisle, Pennsylvania

Carlisle Companies Incorporated, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an immediate opening for a Technical Trainer to join our Technical & Warranty Services team located at our headquarters in Carlisle, PA. The Technical Trainer leads training courses on CCM roofing products and systems. The Technical Trainer teaches in both a classroom and hands-on environment to educate customers on proper application of CCM products. CCM to include Carlisle Syntec Systems and Versico Roofing Systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Training programs for CCM Roofing Applicators. Composing and scheduling of training programs, the ability to physically complete product and accessory installation work, i.e., splices, flashings, installation of insulation and membrane, includes full working knowledge of specs and details, and the ability to converse and convey installation methods to roofing foremen and crewmen.
  • Maintain current CCM training content updating appropriately to incorporate yearly product additions and specification/detail changes. Produce professional presentations, utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint, to support a best in class training experience.
  • Set up, tear down and prepare demonstration areas to satisfy needs and flow of each training, keeping a presentable and professional appearance. Works with other trainers and departments to coordinate logistics around groups utilizing the training areas. This includes assisting with product inventory orders, organizing and stocking product received, and retrieving ordered product for training.
  • Building custom training programs and agendas to fulfill customer needs. This includes building the agenda, organizing the demos and creating classroom presentations.
  • Mentoring and training newly hired Field Service Representatives (FSR). Understand and be able to educate on FSR job duties including, but not limited to: Inspecting a warranted CCM roofing system, scheduling inspections, investigations, job site visits, FSR Procedure manual. Assist Field Services to stay up to date on inspection procedures and CCM Inspect APP changes. Changes are to be incorporated into training programs as necessary.
  • Travel by car / truck or airplane to support training efforts at remote training locations. This requires utilizing CCM travel resources to schedule and book travel for business.
  • Telephone and e-mail assistance for technical questions presented by roofing applicators. Answering telephone calls and e-mails from outside parties regarding project specifications and warranty requirements. This requires a full working knowledge of specifications and details, the ability to converse with outside parties, the ability to utilize other departments inside CCM to assist/answer technical questions and/or problems presented by CCM customers.
  • Other duties include; presenting at industry or company events, enforcing proper installation techniques, Field service activities and training for other CCM company (CCW, Insulfoam, CCM, Hunter, etc.) products, as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Equivalency: Associate Degree or two (2) years single-ply roofing experience
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years single-ply roofing experience and experience conducting presentations in front of an audience.
  • Equivalency: None
